Big Brothers Big Sisters of Miami (BBBSM) offers companies the opportunity to serve and make a meaningful impact by dedicating their time to support our mission, which is to create and support one-to-one mentoring relationships with youth. There are a variety of ways your organization can make a difference through socially responsible actions. Remember, it takes little to be big! Your involvement goes a long way in transforming the lives of our Littles. We look forward to partnering with you.
Why Get Involved?
Our vision is for all youth to achieve their full potential. There are countless reasons to get involved to make this a reality. Benefits of volunteering with BBBSM include:
Personal Development: Your service inspires others. You stand out as a leader when you make a commitment to help improve the lives of our Littles.
Team Building: Through volunteerism, you build stronger relationships with your colleagues. Coming together to support youth mentorship will create a values-aligned team.
Community Impact: We love to celebrate those who are doing good in the world. Your partnership makes a positive impact on our communities. By engaging with our organization, you strengthen our network of Littles, their families, and society at large.
How to Get Involved?
Each volunteer opportunity comes with a suggested donation commitment. Donations made in support of our programs are invested back into our work and cover the costs of activities we plan for youth throughout the year.

- Engaging with youth during our after-school programming, Monday-Friday 3-6 PM
- Assisting with homework, digital literacy activities, arts and crafts, participating in fitness activities, and more
- Sorting donations or preparing care packages, as needed
- Conducting workshops or skill-based sessions that are aligned with the volunteer’s professional expertise
- Virtual mentoring or tutoring sessions focused on post-secondary preparation and career readiness

Impact Activities
On Saturday mornings throughout the year, BBBSM hosts Impact Activities led by staff. We convene Bigs, Littles, and their families, extending additional support, providing healthy meals, and fostering community support and deeper engagement. Successful activities have included our Back-to-School event, holiday food distributions, and award ceremonies celebrating our Littles’ accomplishments.
Companies can sponsor an activity and be part of the planning and execution of an Impact Event.
Suggested Donation Minimum: $2,500
School-to-Work Workshops
As part of BBBSM’s Site-Based programming, School-to-Work provides high school Littles with on-the-job mentoring opportunities with Bigs at the workplace. Once a month, Littles are bused to corporations to meet with their Bigs and job shadow, engage in mentoring, and participate in skill-based workshops.
Volunteers are invited to lead workshops at the School-to-Work site, where Bigs and Littles continue learning together.
Suggestion Donation Minimum: $500
