What is a Mentor?

A mentor is a caring, compassionate adult who dedicates time to support and guide a young person. Mentors provide encouragement, helping students build confidence, develop a strong foundation of values, set goals, and improve both academic and life skills. Just two hours a month can make a lasting impact on a child’s life.

Who Can Mentor?

Anyone with a desire to make a difference in a young person’s life can become a mentor. We welcome professionals, retirees, college students, and community members from all walks of life. All that’s needed is a commitment to spend time with a student and a willingness to provide guidance and support.
